Want to get involved? Want to donate? The Broadway South initiative is a statewide initative to bring economic development and infrastructure to Louisiana through the performing arts. But we can't do it alone. We need the citizens of Louisiana to become activists. Contact your representatives via US Mail or email. Call your friends. Buy Broadway South merchandise and stick it on your vehicle, person or home. Call influential people you know and urge them to support Broadway South.

We have seen the slow grinding process of recovery. Broadway South is a flash point of hope and action. Be heard. Be seen. Be active.

Here are a couple of ideas:

Host a party:
Have a cocktail party or dinner party and make Broadway South the topic for the evening. Better yet, hire actors to act out scenes from plays or movies.

Have a bake sale or lemonade stand:
Don't laugh. Every little bit helps in getting the message out. Donate the proceeds to your local performing arts charity or theater.

Create a call tree of friends:
Create a list of friends and start dialing. Ask them to do the same. Get them to write letters or emails to their representatives and the Louisiana Governor's office. Get them to call their representatives.

Talk up Broadway South at events:
At a little league baseball game? At a kids soccer game? At a school function? At a reception? At a dinner with friends? Broadway South is the perfect conversation starter. Good or bad, give your opinion and ask others for their opinion. After you have talked - do something.

Whatever you decide to do - you the citizen - have the power to make a change in your communities just by being heard. Be heard. Be seen. Be active.

The Broadway South initiative is truly an initiative that offers "Something for Everyone".
